Authors

This community guide offers learnings from a community-based research project on the simultaneously messy and hopeful process of community-engaged facilitation (CEF). It was written by a team of community-engaged facilitators united by a shared commitment to continual learning and social justice. Throughout the project, we asked each other questions about our facilitation practice and held conversations with other facilitators in our networks. We wrote about what we learned from these conversations in this guide. You can learn more about us below, under “who we are.”

This is a guide created by community-engaged facilitators, for community-engaged facilitators. As you read about our work, we invite you to reflect on your own stories, experiences, and ideas about facilitation – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whether you are new to facilitation or a seasoned facilitator, we welcome you!
